+
+Description

+This system call deactivates and deallocates a filter that was
+previously allocated via the :c:func:`open()` call.
+
+Return Value
+------------

+On success 0 is returned.
+
+On error, -1 is returned and the ``errno`` variable is set
+appropriately.
