These keys will only have an effect in windows in which the menubar is
set to be visible.
Right click in the Terminal window and select
Show Menubar to display the menubar.
You can navigate the Terminal menu using a combination of keys
that are called mnemonics or a special key that takes you directly
to the first menu in the menubar which is called the menu accelerator
key.
Mnemonics
Terminal menu can be accessed by combining the Alt
key and a letter of the menu item. The letter that you need to use to
access the menu will be underlined when you hold down the
Alt.
For example, view the Edit menu using
AltE. Similarly, you can access
File menu using
AltF.
To enable mnemonics:
Press the menu button in the top-right corner of the window and select
Preferences.
In the sidebar, select General.
Check Enable mnemonics.
Menu accelerator key
This setting brings up the File menu when the menu
accelerator key is pressed. This key is usually F10 by
default.
Press the menu button in the top-right corner of the window and select
Preferences.
