.SH DESCRIPTION
.IX Header "DESCRIPTION"
A \f(CW\*(C`SelectSaver\*(C'\fR object contains a reference to the file handle that
was selected when it was created. If its \f(CW\*(C`new\*(C'\fR method gets an extra
parameter, then that parameter is selected; otherwise, the selected
file handle remains unchanged.
.PP
When a \f(CW\*(C`SelectSaver\*(C'\fR is destroyed, it re-selects the file handle
that was selected when it was created.
