These keys will only have an effect in windows in which the menubar is set to be visible.

Right click in the Terminal window and select Show Menubar to display the menubar.

You can navigate the Terminal menu using a combination of keys that are called mnemonics or a special key that takes you directly to the first menu in the menubar which is called the menu accelerator key.

Mnemonics

Terminal menu can be accessed by combining the Alt key and a letter of the menu item. The letter that you need to use to access the menu will be underlined when you hold down the Alt.

For example, view the Edit menu using AltE. Similarly, you can access File menu using AltF.

To enable mnemonics:

Press the menu button in the top-right corner of the window and select Preferences.

In the sidebar, select General.

Check Enable mnemonics.
