  <title>Description</title>

  <para>
   <command>DROP COLLATION</command> removes a previously defined collation.
   To be able to drop a collation, you must own the collation.
  </para>

     <term><literal>IF EXISTS</literal></term>
     <listitem>
      <para>
       Do not throw an error if the collation does not exist.
       A notice is issued in this case.
      </para>
     </listitem>

     <term><replaceable>name</replaceable></term>

     <listitem>
      <para>
       The name of the collation. The collation name can be
       schema-qualified.
      </para>
     </listitem>

    <varlistentry>
     <term><literal>CASCADE</literal></term>
     <listitem>
      <para>
       Automatically drop objects that depend on the collation,
       and in turn all objects that depend on those objects
       (see <xref linkend="ddl-depend"/>).
      </para>

     <term><literal>RESTRICT</literal></term>
     <listitem>
      <para>
       Refuse to drop the collation if any objects depend on it.  This
       is the default.
      </para>
