<dd><p>A comment. Ignore any characters from the ‘<samp class="samp">#</samp>’ character up to the
next newline character.

<p>This command is the only possibility for commenting in the intermediate
output. Each comment can be preceded by arbitrary syntactical space;
every command can be terminated by a comment.
