+* The package has been restructured to include the original manpages.
+  During the build of the package, external manpages are no longer
+  needed.
+* As a result of this change, the already deprecated configure
+  option *--enable-deprecated-download* has now been removed
+  completely.
+* There is now a framework in place, which should allow to support
+  translations for different distributions. Some manpages differ
+  between distributions, the package can now cope with that and
+  still provide complete translations. This enables custom
+  packages for e.g. Debian stable, Ubuntu, Gentoo, openSUSE etc.
+  Currently, only Debian unstable and Debian stretch are supported.
+  In order to build translations for Debian stretch, use the
+  new configure option *--enable-distribution=debian-stretch*.
+* The documentation has been mostly converted to markdown.
