+# Building documentation locally
+
+This process will improve over time.
+
+For now, manually create a Python virtual environment and install the
+dependencies:
+
+```shell
+make venv
+```
+
+The virtualenv will be created in **_venv**.
+
+Then to build the documentation:
+
+```shell
+make html
+```
